Frequently Asked Questions

This is to answer any questions about Remote Online Notary (RON) or electronic Notary services that we provide. You can also book an appointment below.

What is the difference between an eNotary and a traditional notary?

The biggest difference between an eNotary and a traditional notary is how the documents are signed. An eNotary will use an online platform to verify the identity and collect electronic signatures for the documents. A traditional notary will do this in person and collect wet signatures. An eNotary is still subject to the same rules and regulations as a traditional notary.

I am in a different state. Can you notarize my document?

Yes, however, your document will be governed under the laws of the State of Virginia. Check your state website to determine if this is permissible and if they accept electronic notary signatures.
